About
Kirsten Lynch
I’m a Trini-Irish artist based in Bristol interested in the ideas behind sexuality, gender, and identity and how they intersect. My practice primarily consists of visceral and textured images on the verge of explicit, where I aim to confront the audience through a lens of obscurity. This is achieved through analog photographic mediums and alternative processes. I love hearing someone say: ‘what IS that?’, unsure whether they are looking at a limb or a leaf. I am heavily influenced by Japanese photographers Nobuyoshi Araki and Daido Moriyama.
